Artist bio
Mystery and inner character are found in Brennie Brackett’s work. A mastery of the pastel media combined with a uniquely personal approach to her subjects bring to life stories that come from her intuition, instincts, heart and finally, her hands.
In 2002, Brackett was awarded the status of Master Pastellist in the Pastel Society of America in New York City. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast, of the Society of Western Artists, and the Marin Society of Artists. She has been the recipient of numerous awards in regional, national and international exhibitions. Recent publications of Brennie’s work include The Pastel Journal, Artist’s Magazine, and Pure Color; The Best of Pastel (North Light Books). Her paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
